Tasha I would have to disagree, I have been writing an eleven page paper, while simultaneously running this song on a loop and it has helped me a great deal, and remember not everything that we attribute to in life can be proven in a laboratory :)

Actually, that's rubbish. Studies have been done and it has been proven that listening to music that has no words and that is unfamiliar to the subject [or has no familiar chord progressions etc] actually increases working ability... so, there!!

Different people have different studying techniques. I get bored and distracted by other things if I don't have music on. But then if the music is too loud and obnoxious I get distracted.
