But how can Run-D.M.C. be more influential than the Sugarhill Gang if the Sugarhill Gang influenced Run-D.M.C.? But then again the Sugarhill Gang only released one album and Run-D.M.C. have released a number of hit albums and are a household name. It's a tricky one.

ok I understand but still after Run DMC hip-hop changed forever. They had so many hits up until Jam Master Jay got shot. They would have still been rappers if that didnt happen. Recently if not currently Rev Run is on tour.
