Nice.. the yang family use this style dao also. Its no surprise that the Wu school uses the same dao after all the Yang and Wu are well connected.

That style of sabre is what I most commonly see Yang stylists using. I've read up on it on swordforum, but nobody I've read knows the origin this style blade and why it is used in Yang. As a military instructor, Yang Lu-tang would have used most likely a liuyedao or yinmaodao.

That's a Kung Fu sword. Never seen Tai Chi with a Kung Fu sword... I do mostly freestyle sword forms, taking bits and pieces of other forms and making it a part of my own. I usually use a shinai, bokken, wood tai chi sword/twin tai chi swords, katana or ninja sword.
