You'd do well to familiarize yourself with the scientific usage of "theory."
As for your questions, you have the Internet at your fingertips. It really is a valuable resource, provided you access reliable sources.
I'd recommend the University of California's Evolution 101, if you have the time on your hands. It's fully accessible to the average layperson. :)

That was great!

"How is evolution able to bring about drastic changes so quickly?"
Yes, over 10s of millions of years sure is rapid...
"How could the first living cell arise spontaneously to get evolution started?"
This is the field of abiogenesis. NOT the theory of evolution.
Like all evolution sceptics, you are arguing purely from a position of ignorance about the actual nature of the theory of evolution.
Of course it is "just a theory", but it is one with a huge body of empirical evidence to support it.

How does evolution add information to a genome to create progressively more complicated organisms?
How is evolution able to bring about drastic changes so quickly?
How could the first living cell arise spontaneously to get evolution started?
The nature of the eye and how it has come to create an image of our interpretation of reality. Those are just a few. I am by no means trying to nullify the theory but rather trying to show that is is just that: a theory.

Uh, could you please rewrite this with proper grammar and punctuation, and no run-on sentences? Because I have absolutely no idea what you mean by that.

And what are these "holes" in evolutionary theory?
moby2300 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
it is logically impossible to completely prove either argument. Religion has a number of things that can lead to doubt in its veracity just as evolution has a number of holes in its theory. Even Darwin himself was an agnostic.

ID is just Creationism reworded. Still completely unscientific. |
