Wow... Strange. Most cats hate water.

ugh, that Lady reporter annoys me ... -.- *death glares at her*

I have seen a chicken needed to get rescued out of the water, so maybe it was just that one then. Fine, a giraffe, or certain apes sink like bricks. Either, not animals can swim.

actually chickens can paddle them selfs with their wings to shore cause most do that when they panic, unless they think they are a duck.

Actually, no and I am surprised to see you actually believe it. Chickens, for example, cannot swim. Heck, they can't even fly, but that is a different subject. Although, your comment could be compared to "all animals can fly, some just don't like it". Yeah, that sums it up pretty much =).

Lemmie rephrase my previous comment, naturally in a normal environment, cats do not like water. Only when owners force it upon their cats, in whatever state their mind is, cats will learn how to cope with water. Does this change things? No, the owner of said cat still remains questionable for forcing cats into the water. The trail of thoughts of trying your cats to like water baffles me. Would you like it if YOUR cat forced YOU to EAT the frogs and mice he caught?

Actually, my cat DOES like water. We don't teach cats to be okay with water when they're young. I did on purpose...although now my cat tries to get in the shower with me. I had a dog once who was TERRIFIED of water, because that's what her original owners taught her. If you use water like a punishment, of course they're going to hate it. It's a developmental thing, not a genetic dislike.
3rocktica (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
um, mine doesn't...
meengreen10 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
you no they pee when they go on the water? they all do
rachied123 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
well, yeah they'll swim if they have to. same way a kid that 'can't' swim will 'kitty paddle' to get out of the water.
