The cops have an obligation to err on the side of caution when it comes to taking a life. 1. It was a DUI - not an armed robbery or violent offense 2. The driver circled the block 4 times. 3. He was not driving at a high rate of speed and definitely did not appear to be using the car as a deadly weapon. If anything, it looked like he was trying to avoid both cops and the spike strips. The guy should have stopped, but in my humble opinion, the cops better be sure before pulling the trigger

He should have just stopped. What a retard. He got what he deserved.

Please don't tell me your in school for Criminal Justice to seek a career in law enforcement. Obviously you're not doing too well in class considering you don't think a vehicle being aimed at a police officer is a justifiable reason to use deadly force. Someone better start hitting the books.

The moron got what he deserved. A vehicle is considered a deadly weapon. This pillar of the community decided to aim his vehicle at a police officer and got shot. The shooting was absolutely 100% justified.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why anyone would be sympathetic to those who choose to run from the law, putting both the law enforcement officers and any innocent motorists/pedestrians in danger. All this idiot had to do was pull over like 99% of citizens do, but no, he chooses to evade arrest and become a serious threat to the public. In cases like this, law enforcement should stop the violater at all costs. IMO all pursuits should be delt with by sharpshooters in helicopters.
