That the idea of the 20's... And well... It's now call F1 -> Shit!
In the 1919, the Targa florio and the Mugello race was some "Gp"... On a 67 miles "race track" on public road... A couple of year later, they goes at Brooklands ;)
But they use the same idea, with GR.B: ERC ;)
The Gr.B was still alive there for a couple of years: Close track, safer...
So why they kill the GR.B, outside WRC? Cost: touring prototypes cost a lots. So, in 1993, what they done is to replace Gr.B with modified Gr.A.

Wicked cars. The only thing that has ever bothered me about rally though are the spectators, why would anybody get that close to a car flying down the road that quick, if I were a driver and was surrounded like that it would piss me off...

bring back group B.
It would be safer if they brought it back without all the spectators standing so close to the road.
then when there was a crash no one would get hurt.
