It's possible to get huge without steroids. But too often the guys that make rapid progress are on drugs. Schwatzenegger definitely used them, Ferigno used them.
Sean Connery was a competitive bodybuilder in his teens and went bald at 16. Steroids are a likely culprit.

this is a very nice video but it kind of upsets me because how do you know these guys closer to the begining are steroid users? you dont... i started body building my senior year in highschool and had huge gains and everyone just talked about me taking steroids like they knew but i have never touched them and never will! that hits deep when you work your ass off and people accuse you of cheating!
