Its too bad that very few understand or are aware of this,that foreign auto workers make only $4 an hour on average than a wworker in the US big 3. and that the foreign competition has a socialized health care provided by their governmnent that makes competing impossible. This is what happens when our Capitalism can not compete with socialized health care in foreign manufacturing, with scab and unfair labor standards aside too..

One payer system is the only way to go. Private health insurance is a private tyranny that only exists in United States. It's a rather barbaric system that tells you you're health is only worth what you can afford. People in United States should get behind, and support, HR 676. If you don't know what it is learn about it! GM & Ford are going bankrupt because of the rising cost of health care. If United States had single-payer system, the companies wouldn't have to worry about it.

'Socialism' is the big bugaboo in this country..it goes back to the paranoid feeling of the cold war and even before..to equate caring for your citizens basic healthcare needs with socialism or communism is rediculous..instead of 'bailing out' wallstreet we should be expending our energies for the common good of our fellow human beings..a close examination of this movie will reveal that that what we have been taught about nationalized medicine around the globe is a big lie..it can work!

God you are ignorant! I thought I read in the Bible about how Jesus helped the poor and told his followers that it was their obligation to do so too. Why are Americans so scare and ignorant about the reality of a national healthcare plan? First of all, it won't turn you into a "socialist" country! haha. You are required to have car insurance right? Does this make you a socialist country? Canada and the rest of Europe are not "socialist" countries. They are free open market capitalist economies.
