Wrecked by Brecht? Weill too vile? Better sit out "The Sailor's Tango". But if sensations like the sharp bite and the bitter taste inform your world view--or stimulate your libido--listen to Brian Burman and Amy Fairweather interpret this ballad from Brecht and Weill's musical, "Happy End". Written in 1929 and performed briefly in Germany, the show had an off-Broadway run beginning in 1954. Comic actors Paul Killam and Gerri Lawlor introduce the song on FTN#32 in 1995. And the 2007 release of the ACT cast recording of the musical shows theres no end in sight for "Happy End". ( http://www.truefictionmagazine... ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G...

I was surprised to see this turn up on youtube 14 years later...we mostly played in rowdy, smoky bars (this was in the old days), and this in a clean TV studio atmosphere. They shot it pretty nicely though.

Wow, that's confusing. However, the announcers rock!!! Go Paul!
