I agree with you. Rugby has its own kinds of dangers, just the fact that no one is wearing pads and the ball hardly ever stops moving. Where as in football, there are pads, but there are guys that are just complete monsters that can destroy you with pads on and without pads you would break bones. Like in football people tend to make more dangerous and aggressive hits since they are wearing pads, while in rugby there are much more arm tackles and blocking isn't allowed.

I would also like to add that the reason that American football players wear pads is because we are big,heavy, healthy men. The kinetic energy produced by a big man running at high speed is incredible. Also people actually get hit in football, while rugby is more wrestling style. However, both sports are manly sports and deserve props.

Its not that, its just that in American football there are some really fucking huge guys that would hurt really badly to get hit by. Guys much bigger than the ones in rugby. The reason there aren't these huge fat guys in rugby is because they wouldn't be able to run around the field and they don't have the stamina or endurance to either. That's why everyone who plays rugby is in really good physical fitness.
