Using infrared tracking and projection, we can simulate displays on flexible and foldable surfaces. This allows us to fit a large interactive display into our pockets. The tracking is accomplished using the Wii Remote and IR LEDs Johnny Lee - Carnegie Mellon University

i like your work... i can see this being useful for advertisers... like in arenas or stadiums. imagine if the people selling programs in an arena could have dynamically updatable advertisements on the back of their shirts or on top of an umbrella.

I like the fan and folding sheet. The others seem as if they'd be a little unwieldy.

your ideas make me wow

This technology reminds of that game, which uses motion tracking on a cube, all you need is a webcam (Sorry thr name escapes me). But anyway, maybe (I dunno, I'm no expert) a compact projector, which sits on the shoulder. Don't tell me that's impossible as a projecter can fit into the size of a pen, and I'm talking full resolution too. This technology IS useful and can be implemented nicely (and expensively)

Maybe have a Projector projecting 360 degrees and at the edges of the room have mirrors, :P

good concept.. but if this is projection based you can sit in front of the projector to read the paper or walk around / turn 360 degress. Useful in sit-down/boardroom scenarios.
