You cannot fairly lay the blame on the reporter, the congressman or the concerned relatives, zouatone. Jones had been storing poison for two years, he ordered it mixed and taken. Put responsibility where it lies: on Jones and his inner circle.

showing jim jones a secret note that a defector wrote is what sealed 900 peoples fate. leave it to a 70s era heraldo to blow it. believe me, they all would have gotten away...the note is what enraged him. at that point he knew it was all over for him.

Jim Jones followers remind me a lot of Bushiebots. Just like in Jonestown, Bushiebots drank the kool-aid when their Reverend Bush told them that Iraq attacked us on 911, when Harriet Myers was qualified to be on the Supreme Court, and that "libruls" were going to force their children to learn math, science, and evolution in school. Republicans = lack of logic, reason, and common sense. They hate science. GOP =Religious kool-aid drinking whackjobs.

This guys a hero for trying to free those people. I would have pretended everything was cool with Jonestown, and sent in the troops when i got home. Its not in a reporters job description to save lives.
