At some point after 1.20 "Stoneybridge" becomes the funniest word in the world. Fans of the show only need to say "Stoneybridge" in a high pitched Scots accent to induce laughter. "Stoneybridge!" And yes we can be more annoying than Python fans doing the Parrot sketch "Stoneybridge"!.

I loved this in the 90s, could quote from it ad nauseam! I'm so glad it's out on DVD, can't wait to get it!

I love the subtle phone number joke - a lot of younger people might not get it but at that time, wee villages like 'Stoneybridge' had a 3 or 4 digit number with a really long area code like this sketch. I remember my Gran and Grandpa in Whithorn did!

Thanks for posting this - I thought the whole thing was a bad dream!

Nice one comedyhunter, I've always loved Absolutely. Do you or anyone else know where I can find clips of Mr Don and Mr George ?

Stoneybridge has a... Stoneybridge.

There must've been more than one stoneybridge sketch. I remember this jingle:
"If your life is as cold as a fridge, warm it up in stoneybridge!"
I loved Absolutely!
