I don't mind the commentary, it was just the fact that the commentators had little to no knowledge of what was actually going on that got me a little agitated.

I did not mean to insult you. I am sorry if my post came across a bit too strongly, but I feel quite passionate about the game and about promoting it to others. The reason why I asked that series of questions is to prompt you to reconsider your own motivations, I'm assuming you don't hate chess or love boredom so why should chess come across as being boring?
