Some cars will require adjustment / repositioning of pedals. Fortunately, neither of my cars needed it.

my acc padel is too deep.. and when i try to do my car nearlt stop ....did u adjust the padel?

No. With single-clutch technique, you clutch once for each downshift. With double-clutch technique, you double-clutch for each downshift. Many drivers do this for each gear, even if going from 5th to 2nd... 5 - 4 - 3 - 2.

when you are on the track and you just "downshift normally" on a curve, is just like pulling the e-brake your rear end will brake more making you spin out(on RWD), but if you just heel&tow you will have a smooth downshift with out resistance. on fwd its kind of the same but the point is not to put stain on your tranny and have a smooth transition

double clutching when heel and toeing should only be done if you are coming down more than one gear correct?? in other words if you are only coming down one gear you hit the clutch only once right?
mikebarrdds (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
No. If you down-shift and want to keep the car stable, you have to RAISE the rpms during the shift (with a "throttle blip") so when you let out the clutch in the lower gear, you won't bog the car (and possibly lose control).

Wait so are just trying to keep the rpm's the same from one gear to another down shifting basicly?
lucalicious954 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
i dont get whats the point of that.
as opposed to just downshifting normally |
