if you have vinyls you should get the timex or whatever that works w/ your computer to record bits ov vinyl so that u dont mess up the vinyl

lol turntables were invented before the common PC :P you dont need one to run a setup like this. you need turntables and a DJ mixer. and some powered monitor speakers. you can get "CDJ" turntables which are designed to manipulate and scratch CD's in a similar fashion to vinyl. although they arent quite as good yet, if its CD's you want to work with they get the job done.

with turntables do u have to plug them into ur computer or sumthin cause i want sum turntables in my room but dont have a computer in my room and can turntables play cd's?

Pretty much anything with a direct drive platter. If you're just starting, a cheap model should be fine, as long as it's direct drive.
