Too bad SOAD's version was released in 1995, It's all preference though. IMO, SOAD's is more upbeat and heavier. Though the original is still a good song.

You had to see Terri Nunn performing in person, she was a rock goddess, too bad I was up in the bleachers and all I could see was a blond speck on stage. If I wasn't so wasted maybe I could have made my way closer to the stage, oh well.
