I don't know why this isn't already on YouTube, but when others fall short on their music posting responsibilities, you can count on Mr. Trashcan to step up to the plate...which, in the case of this gem, is my absolute pleasure!

I like this. It has a touch of soul in it. Nice to dance to also.

Always loved this song!! I discovered her gloriour songs in college, and think there should be a revival of "Lose Again" "Please Be the One" and "Just Walk Away". Cute Vid!! Great skiing music too. ~Tom

Love this song. I saw Karla Bonoff sing in Oklahoma at a Summer Breeze concert this summer. Her voice is still beautiful. Hoped she would sing this song, but she didn't, probably due to copyright ownership by the record label.

...the most beautifully phrased line in the song......"theres nothing like the feeling I get.......ummmmmmmmmm..when ya touch me bay---bee" I feel the humidity, hear the crickets, and smell the perfume of my summer 1982 girlfriend whenever I hear this song.

Karla Bonoff is an L.A.-born singer-songwriter-pianist who used to sing backgrounds for Linda Ronstadt before her own brief run in the spotlight. "Personally," her remake of an R&B song first recorded by Jackie Moore in 1979, reached #19 pop for Karla in 1982. KB's other hits: "I Can't Hold On" (1978; #76), "Baby Don't Go" (1980; #69) and "Please Be The One" (1982; #63). She also had three hit LPs; her self-titled debut sold a million in 1977-8. She and I are almost exactly the same age!

She didn't die. She's fine, still touring and you can check out her website.

How sad, when did she die? She had such a beautiful voice...
