However you have agreed with my point, marr isnt a great guitar player but he makes good music. So lets just agree not to call him a legendary guitarist ok

You don't have type some intellectual bullshit, digitised. Of course Marr is not going to be compared to people like Holdsworth. But equally, you can't compare Renoir with Van Gogh - one may have been technically more brilliant but virtuosity is only one section of genius. Creativity is another. Oh, and by the way. My point was specifically aimed at his guitar ability, songwriting is a seperate issue altogether. Marr is not an exceptional player, he has no lead skills and his rythym playing is meticulous and interesing at best. Like i said just because you like his music doesnt mean you can start overstating his other achievements and skills, in the world of guitar playing he doesnt raise any eyebrows. Check out some of the names i mentioned and youll see why.
