Completely! Almost any good horse owner knows that horses aren't pets. They are more of companions and partners. See, a little while back my best friends horse died from a colic and since then she's been more depressed lately. That little pony was almost her life and she is so upseat.Grrr. But yeah, you do understand :)

actually in the u.s horses would start racing at age two after september first
in australia
we are not allowed to race horses
b4 there 4 years or older
if you want to enter your horse who is 2/3 you mst enter them in a race which has a distance of no more than 1000
and it must be turf with a light weight jockey

Horse racing is NOT cruel
In the U.S about 500 horses die each year
because of there UNSAFE tracks
like this one,This track was not sutible for racing it was too muddy and slippery
In australia 99.8% of our tracks are turf
which is checked evrey race meeting to make sure it is safe for racing
If a horse falls on turf they are less likly to get injured
less than 7 horses die on turf tracks each year
u.s racing is cruel
australian racing is not!!

my thoroughbred is an ex-racehorse and i am thankful he was not killed or euthanized. for some reason i can think of a reason he stopped racing! haha its terrible in the racing business! thank god my baby isnt still racing!

Racing is pathetic.
Two horses killed in one race alone?? According to the IDA, more than 800 horses die on US tracks per year and another 3,600 are retired/euthanized due to injuries. Horses are forced to begin racing at 1-2 years of age. Steroids, of course, are still being used on these animals - illegal or not.
