Oh, he missed a great opportunity to quote Douglas Adams:
"Humans think they are smarter than dolphins because we build cars and buildings and start wars etc... and all that dolphins do is swim in the water, eat fish and play around.
Dolphins believe that they are smarter for exactly the same reasons."

Oh I wish they died out.
Coming from Europe and going to bible-belt-America will cause massive frustration and made me literally stare open-mouthed at some people.
How someone can be so ignorant, but still know how to work a TV/car/computer is beyond me.
I was so happy I went home after a year, where the sane people still outnumber the morons.

LOL! Whale gods! That's great. Some humans are such arrogant speciesists.
MilitantMortal (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
that's not evolution, human societies are not as subject to natural selection as in the wild. Social security prevents that. but who cares, technology will look after us in the future, as long as it belongs to everyone!

Yes he was a BIG time waster. Should have hung up sooner although there were some worthwhile funny bits and points made.

Evolution is really a process of "evolution and extinction"
Had a lot of predecessors be allowed to survive the world would have been too easy to live in and evolution wouldn't have been allowed to take place.
Actually, evolution probably would be going down a similar path that humans are going down, where everyone breeds with everyone regardless of the quality of the mate as there is no need to breed with the most capable to survive.
theM4ce (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
actually, imho there is "better than" in evolution... Alive is better than extinct :)
DaveC86 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
lol the dude expects to witness birds evolving haha he thinks in his life time he'd see such radical changes in birds that they start building brick homes instead of nests hahahaha what the hell...

Even more insane is the fact that they constitute about half of the population. Even though rates of non belief are increasing, the rates of creationism have largely stayed the same, which is a little odd. |
