I read the lyrics myself with that in mind, and what you say makes alot of sense, now consider this: what if Kid A's twin brother is Hauser (the brand name shown at 2:45). I looked up Hauser online, the only thing that i found was "Hauser Kaspar" on wikipedia. READ HIS STORY. It is very much worth looking into if you are trying to better understand the meaning behind Radiohead's songs.

I think the babies are the best addition. I don't know if I get the meaning of the video well (I appologize for my bad english). The babies completely contradict the machine. Everything seems so electronic and inhuman. And these babies are human lives trapped in the machine. It's like the human lives that are destroyed due to the system of governments and politics and appeals to fears of machines taking over and human hybrids. Plus these are haunting visuals IMO. Without them I'd forgot this vid

I disagree. Artists are deliberate. We just don't throw things in for the fuck of it. And sometimes we do. But that doesn't mean that we should augment our vision for the sake of the viewers level of comfort.

I concur. I believe it to be a master piece up until the babies are being spun around crying and at the end where the ribs burst out. I think the producer could of convened his message without using the babies.
