dsax, cats are much more cautious in strange environments than dogs are; they are natural survivors which is why they can survive relatively well on their own within mankind's cities and suburbs if they have to; the only domesticated animal you can say that about. Let a dog/puppy out on its own and it's very likely it would quickly be hit by a car or get lost. <---proud loving owner of dogs, cats and horses; all fascinating in their own ways
