It really doesn't matter whether you believe in God or not, or whether you practice religion or not. What really matters is how you treat other people and your environment. I practice a religion, but I'd give you permission to shoot me before I imposed my beliefs on anyone else. My religion also holds human life above religious law, so holy wars are ridiculous to me.

Problem is that many preach the Gospel and should not, but God still uses it because He is so cool :)
We all have good intentions but they may not be God's will.
It's a difficult one for sure.
Salvation is by Grace and not obedience. Although I will say that afterwards we must obey for our own good. That is real common sense :)

I don't think you can be silent and evangelical, to be honest. It's one or the other surely.

tosgem: i take your point completely, but if you don't think these idiots are now co-opting the Christian mainstream then you are not awake. rl

This clip uses a false premise (from the viewers perspective) to make a point about Christianity, imho. You will get a very strange view of Christianity if you look at preachers on the street. They're mostly nut cases, they do not represent Christianity, yet they are the face of the "evil religion" that you're presenting.

Very nice, good job mate.

Thank you. I figure there may be an afterlife, but why should that stop me enjoying myself free of prejudice in this one? I've met some very religious people who tend to be homophobic, and my mate Andy is a former born again Christian - he actually got turned off it doing missionary work in Uganda after he met an American preacher who he said was the most arrogant bastard he'd ever met. What does that say about very religious people?

Religions are tolerant of nothing more than there own blinkered point of view, heres to disobedience its much more fun. |
