It's a bit sad to see people criticizing before they really know about the sword. Obviously it's not a fighting sword.
The floppy ones are actually better (for TaiChi) because when they bend, it incarnates the ripple of energy flowing suddenly out of you body.

I've seen floppier weapons. I think that is all they can get on the mainland.
