I think the song is about an ex who doesnt know when to give up and let go. Jill is the new wifey who wont accept any BS from the ex hence - " what you had is gone and our thing is sweet ". I could be wrong but thats my interpretation. Anyways, classic song as always from Ms. Scott. |
