Tom is a 10 year old, 12.3 1/2 hand, bay, Section B Welsh Pony Gelding. He is a great character to have around, always making you laugh with his silly antics. He also has great ground manners and a perfect work ethic. Tom does well at shows and doesn't get nervous, etc when against the bigger horses. He has won classes as large as 17 riders in open showing! An advanced brginner or better rider would have no problems with him and a complete novice would have no problems with handling him from the ground. Sadly, Tom is for sale as we simply don't have enough time for him and he deserves more attention. In the jumping segment at the end, he is being very lazy and simply stepping over the jumps, not coming up nice, tight and square like he does with a higher jump. If interested in him or possibly another Pony or Cob, please visit our website www.WindroseWelsh.com If we don't have what you're looking for, we will try to give you contacts for people that may! Presented by Windrose Farm Welsh Ponies and Cobs.

Thanks for the compliment...We are currently only asking $3,000 for him as we must cut back due to our boarding/training business growing. Is does have show experience, both with juniors and adults and has jumped at shows and done flat.... He has done VERY well in Open shows against full classes of large horses (always in the top placings), and has shown Welsh shows and won as well. Visit our website or call/email us if you have any further questions. Thanks again.

aww!! how much is he? he would be an ideal companion for my Welsh mare and would be a great show pony. Is he show experienced?

what is the weight limit on a pony his size?
HoofnPaw (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
In theory, yes you could. In reality, you wouldn't have many clients. You not only need a nice facility, but you need the insurance, the staff, the horses, the equipment and the knowledge to run the program effectively and minimize any accidents. Having the facility and knowing how to ride are only the first part of what is needed to run a good program! We do very little public advertising, besides the website, and videos! Its our fellow trainers and friends that send us horses and students!

No, she has not taken any tests, etc to be a trainer. We built our own faclity (actually my parents built it), and we have the support of several top trainers, 4-H, etc. We also have lots of wins up to the national level in various disciplines (english pleasure, dressage, hunter, western pleasure, driving, etc).
