Also TheDude5000, try Suede and Pulp. They're both great and criminally underrated Britpop bands, then have a listen to the band that started it all, The Stone Roses

American here...new to Britpop but Oasis and Blur sound great to me...Radiohead too, even though they're not really Britpop.
