I may be going on a stretch here. But since he come from a place called "The Land of The Free" (Mameruka), it can be a pun on America.
And the seven colored stripes that he wears might be a vague reference to the American Flag.

Heavily editing it might be VERY extreme.
If it got a T rating I'd laugh because many people will start to think it's gay.
Though a T rating would be accurate.

Yeah we all know the kind of people Nintendo of America are. I really hope this game comes to the US, either they give it a T rating or heavily edit the game. I honestly much rather have Captain Rainbow than the mediocre casual games on the Wii.
