This again shows the old dichotomy between humans = reason, and animals = sensual is false.
Animals are rational beings also (although with much weaker powers than ours).

body to brain mass ratio doesn't mean a whole lot. Some animals with smallish brains have turned out to be so intelligent (parrots and ravens for example) that scientists have had to reconsider the significance of brain mass.
