Joe Morello is a vastly underrated drummer in his critical standing.He is one of the best ever- up there with Jo Jones and Elvin.

also.....I always love brubeck but personally I'm a Bill Evans Kind of guy......I really wish Desmond would have played with him......Paul Desmond, Jim Hall and Bill Evans, Stan Getz, Freddie Hubbard and possibly Philly Joe or if slightly possible.....Motian.....wow.....it would be the mahavishnu orchestra of relaxation

I really find it incredible that brubeck was a devout catholic who didn't drink or smoke or any of that while desmond whas a gambler, chain smoker and whiskey fanatic yet desmond was his kids godfather haha.......it shows what music can do to someones life....it's intoxicating as booze itself.
