yeah i know what you mean kinda like the new stooges albumn parts are good but others are just a let down. i heard the new pixies stuff as that way too.

I'll jump in on the album rankings...
(I love all of 'em, but not super familiar with post-Thousand Leaves stuff)
This probably changes every few years for me, but:
1) Sister - always perfect.
2) A Thousand Leaves
3) Dirty and Daydream Nation (tie)
I know it's blasphemy, but I like 'Dirty' a lot. It's in the 'not one even remotely weak track' upper eschelon despite being their 'poppy' album.
