Border collies work hard and play hard. They also herd sheep, cows--even a 2000-pound bull. Originally bred in Scotland, these dogs make great pets.

Eee, I adore Border Collies. They can only ever compare to the two other most charming breeds - the Rough Collie & the German Shepherd. Can Border Collies adapt to living in the city, if they get to take part in dog sports & free running everyday? I'm curious, as I would love to own one.

border collies are the best dogs (they are so smart) iv had mine since the age of 4 and she died yesterday at the age of 11. It hits you pretty hard its going to be a different place without her.

I have a huge boarder collie. I have always had a border collie and always will. They are the best dogs and so smart.

missybetch24, Border Collies are the right choise if you have a decent garden and a house that is not too small. I highly reccomend them but if you want a Pitbull then you would need very hard training and face the conequence that it may have to be put to sleep because of their aggresivness like my other two Pitbulls. Border Collie is the best choise i think. Ask me for anymore quiestions if you need them!

If you're a guy who does a lot of exercice then get a Border Collie and you'll be very happy. You can get a Pit bull if you're a experimented owner. But the choice is yours

Nah, their breath gets kinda smelly though, but usually those breath-dog treats do the trick. Slobber... well they have freakishly long tounges. If their mouth is open, you get slobber but that's with all dogs. Only the shedding could annoy I would say, and their personalities make up for it.

BC's are the most intelligent dog breed, even the mighty German shepherd comes second! Dumbest dog? Afghan hound. (ooooooooh!)
