This cut through all the babble to make sense of a basic technique. Love your style. I look forward to future "How-tos"

Nice video. I aim to eventually get a spinning wheel, but for the time being I'm using a drop spindle, and this is a good demonstration of how to use it.

Oh, one more question, can you spin a fingering weight yarn with a drop spindle or would that just rip the roving in half by the weight of the spindle when you spin it off your leg? Is there only a certain size yarn you can make with a drop spindle? Sorry about all the questions!

Hi, thanks so much for the videos! I always wanted to spin my own yarn but did not want to invest $700 in a wheel if I wasn't even sure that I would love it! Anyways, what size of yarn do you think you are spinning right here? Bulky? And from the amount of roving you grafted in the first video, how much yarn do you think that gives you? Thanks again and I look forward to hopefully more videos!

Hi, Megan! Thank you so very much for posting this!! I've been trying to find spinning tutorials, and yours was by far the most helpful. What is the red thing on your spindle called? I have a chance to go to the hardware store today, and would love to make my own spindle and get with the program! :)

Thank you so much - my recent book purchase just came to life! I can't wait to get good enough to spin my cat's hair into beautiful yarn . . . The Park method looks perfect for a beginner.
