Del Shannon was a success in Chile with Runaway (july, 1961). Youtube search for ELVIS ROCK DISCO 45 and VIVA EL ROCK AND ROLL and you will see an honoring to this one and others singers of that era.

Do you ever get pissed off with th youtube control mechanism which asks you to verify your sobriety every two sentences? I for sure do because I like ot participate, U tube lets you be monosylabic but most certainly not verbose. Del Shannon was great -is great -and he was a favorite in UK -sadly towards the end in clubs no doubt making peanuts. Great voice-sad story --sad end.
