Benny Hill did the same basic format for sketches over and over and over again (chase Girls in Bikini/nurses uniform, Slap bald guy on the head, stick toungue out in pervy way, que yackaty sax... repeat ad infinitum...). Personally I think Cleese is a master, and Fawlty is arguably one of the best comic creations ever. But on the other hand if Channel 56 says so it must be true................not.

Cleese looks retarded and inbred. And Benny Hill was considered funnier than Monty Python by a UHF station (WLVI TV Channel 56 in Cambridge, Mass.) that ran both! I agree!
