I believe the DNA tests prove that most icelandic women have irish DNA and most icelandic men have nordic DNA which proves that many viking men came to iceland and bread with the irish women there (vikings seeked land because they didn't have any hence they didn't have wives to take with them in their quests..). History tells us the few irish monks on iceland left when the vikings arrived.
