Nah, she would let me have any big dogs because we have two little dogs. They won't do anything I want to do.
Also, I live in Austraila, so I don't know where they do agility.

She might let you have a kelpie though - very popular in the UK for agility.

I wish I had a dog that can do that all my dogs are too small and too old. I want a collie but my mum won't let me have one!!

Other than the woman at 3:53. That's not yelling to keep the attention of her dog, that's outright uncalled for. Notice the way the little guy cowers at first. This is supposed to be fun for the dog and someone needs to tell her that.

They are only shouting because their dogs are probably too excited to listen. For example, at 2:56. I don't think you would be able to get his attention if you weren't shouting his name. So I don't think they were trying to be mean. They were just trying to control their dogs.

Good video to describe how agility isn't as easy as it looks...but it might give a bad impression for people who don't do Agility. Nice video overall though. :)

The handlers aren't being mean. The dogs love the sport so much that they get SO excited that you have to yell so you're commands get through to them and they can stay on track. And you can't tell them good boy after every obstacle, they get all the praise in the world after their run. |
