Excellent tutorials, best of the lot. Now I finally understand spinning. Everything was very clear and concise, I could see what you were doing all the time. The music was a nice addition too.

Hi there, I think your tutorials are great! You've done a wonderful job. Doing things with white yarn, and a black shirt was genius. I've only recently taken an interest in all things spinning and textile. Your videos have taken me a long way on the road to yarn artistry! Wonderful. I also would like to see a tutorial on plying.

ah - ha I see - thanks for the quick response. I have now done a little bit of plying! it's hard not to get everything in a mess - I wonder if I have done the original singles too tight. A tutorial (when you get time) on plying would be great.

Plying yarn is something you can decide whether or not you are going to do with your singles. It's not a requirement, though, but can balance out a beginner's more uneven yarns. There are a few methods, and in the near future I plan on making videos with some plying techniques. For now, the day job has me.

Hi - do you not ply your yarn? I have just started to create some singles (using your vids - thanks) but all of the other articles I read / view talk about plying two singles together before you hank them?

Thank you so much for posting this series of videos! I have been wanting to learn to spin for quite awhile now, bought a drop spindle and everything, but totally chickened out when I started reading books on what to do. Your videos helped so much more than the books ever did! Thank you!!!

learning to crochet at 8 and dropping it for a long time, picking back up again, led to wanting prettier yarn than acrylic, lead to teaching myself to knit, then of course following the natural progression to wanting to make my own yarn, led to youtube, led to your great vids!!! thanks for making it so easy, and set to good tunes!!!

Exellent videos - I love all 3. Can you do one on plying? Also one on dying? You do such a great job.

Really excellent videos. I've had my spindle for a year, have tried many times and failed. I watched your videos and was spinning (and happy with the results) within 10 minutes. Excellent job.
